God will bring good out of bad

And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Rom. 8:28 ◊ Also we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will. Eph. 1:11 ◊ In the day of prosperity be happy, but in the day of adversity consider — God has made the one as well as the other. Eccl. 7:14 ◊ Now I want you to know, brethren, that my circumstances have turned out for the greater progress of the gospel, so that my imprisonment in the cause of Christ has become well known throughout the whole praetorian guard and to everyone else, and that most of the brethren, trusting in the Lord because of my imprisonment, have far more courage to speak the word of God without fear. Phil. 1:12-14

Out of the strong came something sweet. Judg. 14:14 ◊ You meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive. Gen. 50:20 ◊ For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. Jer. 29:11 ◊ Perhaps the Lord will look on my affliction and return good to me instead of his cursing this day. 2 Sam. 16:12 ◊ But if I am to live on in the flesh, this will mean fruitful labor for me; and I do not know which to choose. But I am hard-pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better. Phil. 1:22-23
