Children’s Literature
Children are a blessing from God. As God is blessing many Israeli couples with fruitfulness, there is a great need for the young parents to be equipped to teach their children the ways of the Lord. By the grace of God, we produced three picture books for the little ones:
1. “My Big Handy Bible” contains 40 miniature bible stories, each wonderfully illustrated by Gustavo Mazali. Next to each story is the biblical reference, so you can read to your child the full story from the word of God itself.
2. “The Prophet and the Donkey” is the story of Balak and Balaam. It was written by Betsy Ramsay, and features beautiful artwork by Anya Poberejny. Use this story to teach your children the precious truth that God’s blessings cannot be undone, as it is written in Romans 11:29: “For the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable.” This story and message is especially important to teach our children during these times, as they grow up in an environment full of tension and spiritual warfare. We want them to be assured, from an early age, that God wants to bless them through Yeshua, and to understand the importance of obeying the will of God.
3. “YoYo’s Journey”, written by Linda Baker, is a story about a donkey named YoYo, with lovely artwork by S. Adler. In the story, YoYo is betrayed by his brother, and taken away into a far away land. Though he misses his home, God uses him to bless those around him. Through his journey, YoYo learns about the grace of God and the power of forgiveness. It is based on the biblical story of the life of Joseph.
We hope you and your children will be blessed by these books!
